Taxi ordering and social media communication have become available again to Nizhny Novgorod residents even during the enforced mobile communication restrictions. Residents of the region write about this on social networks. Earlier the Ministry of Digital Development and mobile operators published lists of services that can again be accessed from mobile devices – the lists include government websites, messengers and other resources.
“They opened access for us. Limited, but they included the important things. Now people will be able to call taxis,” city residents write on the VKontakte social network.
“All Yandex services are working – music, taxis, food and so on,” “Rutube is already working, thanks,” residents wrote in comments on city channels in Telegram.
Mobile operator T2 is monitoring feedback from its subscribers and supports the idea of expanding the “whitelist” further. Currently, according to the company, access is being opened in phases in different regions of Russia on a pilot basis. The Ministry of Digital Development had previously reported on the inclusion of new services in the list.
The operator reports that at the moment the whitelist includes the Gosuslugi portal, the T2 mobile app, marketplaces, search engines, media platforms Kinopoisk, Dzen, Rutube, the 2GIS service and so on. In the future they plan to add new online banks, media websites and pharmacy services.
“We have long been accustomed to smartphones being not just a means of communication, but a vital way to connect with banks, taxi-ordering services and government bodies. The compromise solution of a ‘whitelist’ of services allows us to restore subscribers’ usual level of comfort where communication restrictions are in force due to security measures. At the same time, access to significant resources for our clients is opened automatically – no additional activations are required,” says T2’s Volga macro-region director Alexey Sidorov.
