In Mulino, Putin was told how the military shoots down drones with small arms.

      Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. During the visit the commander of a volunteer squad of inspectors demonstrated to the head of state methods for combating Ukrainian drones. This episode was shown on the program "60 Minutes" on the "Russia-1" TV channel.

      At a special display the president was shown machine-gun complexes that are used by servicemen at stationary posts, observation points and in mobile groups.

      A serviceman said that the inspectors regularly travel to the special military operation zone to train personnel. During the previous deployment the instructors successfully shot down several unmanned aerial vehicles using small arms.

      "We shot one down with an SVD (Dragunov sniper rifle — ed. note), we shot down a 'Lyutyk', and we also shot down a plane-type one with an assault rifle," the channel "360" quoted the fighter as saying.

      Recall that an active phase of the joint strategic exercise "Zapad-2025" unfolded at the Mulino training ground, involving military personnel from Russia and Belarus. President Putin personally observed the maneuvers. The exercises took place September 12–16 at 41 land and naval ranges of the two countries; 100,000 servicemen participated, and about 10,000 weapons and equipment systems that are used in the special military operation zone were involved.

      Twenty-five foreign delegations arrived to take part in the exercises; six countries sent military contingents to participate in activities within the framework of the strategic exercises.
