A large-scale art object aimed at drawing attention to the problem of missing children has appeared in Dzerzhinsk. The mural was solemnly unveiled on the façade of the building at 41 Gaidar Street, ANO "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" reported.

The project was implemented on the initiative of the volunteer search-and-rescue squad "LizaAlert" with the support of the city administration and the "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." Funding was allocated as part of a municipal competition for social projects.

The 120-square-meter image on the wall was created by artist Dmitry Zakharov together with the squad's volunteers. The mural depicts a girl standing among passersby in an abstract urban space. The central element is the call: "Only you can help her!", addressed to every passerby and reminding them of personal responsibility in such situations.

"When a child gets lost, volunteers do not call the child by name loudly and abruptly. Instead they softly, gently, often in female voices say: 'Sweetie...' This is how they address someone else's child so as not to frighten them, but to help them find their way back to their loved ones," emphasized Svetlana Klyukvina, regional representative of the volunteer search-and-rescue squad "LizaAlert."

The creation of the mural became part of a large-scale information campaign carried out by the search squad. Such visual projects not only help convey an important message to a wide audience, but also foster a culture of participation and responsibility in society. In addition, they motivate new people to join the volunteer movement.

Maria Samodelkina, CEO of the "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," noted that the mural carries a strong social message and reminds everyone that children's safety is a shared responsibility.

Earlier it was reported that the famous Nizhny Novgorod sunsets appeared on a support of the Kanavinsky Bridge.
