Society. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who have encountered dementia in themselves or their relatives can obtain useful information and support on the online resources of the "Dementia.net" project.

As reported by the charitable foundation "Memory of Generations", with whose participation the project was launched in 2021, the resource is aimed at raising awareness of cognitive disorders, their prevention and diagnosis, as well as supporting patients and their caregivers. As part of the initiative, an extensive methodological database has been created, including text materials, social videos and training courses.

A special online course offers self-help tools for those caring for people with dementia—whether relatives, paid caregivers or other assistants.

In addition, website users can take advantage of free services to find medical specialists and institutions that provide targeted assistance to patients with dementia.

The portal also offers online testing that allows the detection of possible cognitive changes.

The "Dementia.net" project is being implemented as part of the national "Family" project, which started in Russia in 2025 at the direction of President Vladimir Putin. This national project continues the directions of the previous "Demography" and "Culture" programs and is aimed at comprehensive family support, the development of active longevity and ensuring accessible medical care for older people.

It was previously reported that more than 15,000 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region visited the regional Longevity Center over its three years of operation.
