Volunteers from the Pokrov Social Center of the Voskresensk Deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese visited the military hospital in Mulin.

      On September 10, volunteers from the “Pokrov” Social Center of the Voskresensk Deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese visited service members hospitalized at Branch No. 1 of the 422nd Military Hospital in the settlement of Mulino. As part of the implementation of the social charitable grant project “Let’s Help Our Own,” four hairdressers, one podiatrist and a social worker worked in the hospital wards. As a result of the day’s work, hairdressing services were provided to 58 service members and podiatry services to 10 soldiers undergoing treatment. Medical podiatry foot-care services proved to be the most in demand. The soldiers invited the volunteers from the Pokrov center to return; a schedule of new visits will be drawn up.

      Background: The Voskresensk Deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese provides charitable assistance to military hospitals as part of the social project “Let’s Help Our Own,” which is funded by the Presidential Grants Foundation. The project manager is Olga Kochetova, director of the Pokrov Social Center.
