A small park in the Druzhba neighborhood in Bor was opened as part of the national project 'Infrastructure for Life'.

      The square in the Druzhba microdistrict of the city of Bor was opened after the completion of the improvement works. Last year this public space became the winner of the rating vote within the framework of the project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

      The square's territory is divided: in the central part, at the residents' initiative, a memorial zone was arranged; in the other part of the square there is a sports ground and an area for relaxation and walks. As part of the project, street lighting was also reconstructed and all pedestrian pathways were repaired.

      The project cost exceeded 40 million rubles — federal, regional and municipal funds. In addition to the improvement of the public space, funds from the local budget were additionally allocated for the repair of the access road to School No. 12, communications were relocated outside the boundaries of the square, and a number of other works were carried out to improve the adjacent territory.

      "The Druzhba square turned out to be interesting and comfortable for all residents, regardless of their age or field of activity. There is a sports area, benches where you can rest in silence, and, most importantly, there is a memorial complex. Teachers from School No. 12 asked to provide a place in the public space for holding commemorative ceremonial events. Now they can be organized at the memorial," said the head of the local self-government of the Bor urban district, Alexey Borovsky.

      Recall that in 2025, at the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Russia began implementing the new national project "Infrastructure for Life". Its goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The project consists of 11 federal projects that include areas previously provided for in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment", "Safe and High-Quality Roads" and in the state programs of the Russian Federation: "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment", "Modernization of Communal Infrastructure", "Housing", "Development of Infrastructure in Settlements", "New Rhythm of Construction", "Central Transport Hub", "Road Traffic Safety", "Regional Roads", "Federal Highways", "Development of Road Management", "Public Transport".
