      Residents and visitors of Nizhny Novgorod complained about a shortage of spaces in the paid parking lot near the Moscow Railway Station. According to them, the parking slots are constantly occupied by employees of nearby enterprises and shops. What is planned to address this problem was told to a correspondent of pravda-nn.ru by the city's Department of Transport and Road Management.

      Currently parking spaces are arranged on the road sections adjacent to the Moscow Railway Station, including under the metro bridge and at the station building itself (those are paid spaces), as well as at the Respublika shopping center (free). However, even these places are often insufficient.

      To create comfortable and safe conditions for passenger drop-off at the station and to avoid constant accumulations of cars near the bus stop, a new traffic management scheme for Revolution Square has been developed. The scheme has now been sent for approval to the railway station management and the traffic police (GAI). If approval is obtained, the new traffic arrangement will be introduced here already this year.

      There is no possibility of creating additional parking spaces at the station—the dense development prevents this.

      Earlier, pravda-nn.ru reported that 37.6 thousand fines were issued to drivers for non-payment of paid parking in Nizhny Novgorod in the first half of 2025.
