      Pari Nizhny Novgorod defender Aleksandr Ektov has successfully undergone a repeat operation on his knee joint, the football club’s press service reports.

      Recall that the player suffered an injury at the end of the 2024/25 season. After that he required prolonged treatment and medical supervision. In early August Ektov underwent the first operation and a date for the second surgical intervention was set.

      Like the first, this operation took place in Munich. The footballer himself noted that everything went according to plan, and also thanked the doctors from Germany, the Pari NN management, as well as the coaching and medical staffs for organizing the treatment.

      “Please send my big greetings to all Pari NN fans! I understand that a long recovery lies ahead. But I am ready for this stage and once again want to thank everyone for their support!” Ektov shared.

      He also noted that the outcome of this surgical intervention is the most important factor in deciding whether to continue his career. Earlier we reported that FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod will return to its home stadium in October.
