Bus No. 79 is expected to be launched in Nizhny Novgorod in 2026.

      The launch of bus route No. 79, which is supposed to connect the Nagulino settlement and the "Park Kultury" metro station in Nizhny Novgorod, has been postponed again. This was reported by the Center for the Development of Transport Systems (CRTS) in response to a local resident's inquiry on social media.

      The route was originally planned to open in January of this year. Later the start was postponed to the end of August 2025. Now the new launch date is January 1, 2026.

      It is expected that route A-79 will provide access to a number of social facilities. These include City Hospitals Nos. 13, 37 and 40, Polyclinic No. 1 of the Avtozavodsky District, the House of Culture "GAZ" and the children's School of Arts "Sozvezdie".

      Nevertheless, some social media users expressed doubt about the need to launch the new service. In their opinion, the route duplicates the existing Nos. 75 and 21.

      Earlier it was reported that as of January 1 there were changes to some traffic patterns and public transport schedules: electric-bus route E-6, bus route No. 45, as well as trams Nos. 18, 27 and 21.
