Six migrants, one of whom is a citizen of Egypt, one of Kyrgyzstan and four of Azerbaijan, have been expelled from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast beyond the borders of the Russian Federation. Officers of the Special Purpose Division of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (GUFSSP) of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, in accordance with a court decision, escorted the citizens subject to expulsion to border crossing points of the Russian Federation.
The basis for the expulsion were rulings issued by the court under part 1 of Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation — “Violation by a foreign citizen or stateless person of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation.” The citizens did not have documents confirming the right to temporarily reside and work in our country. The illegal migrants awaited their expulsion in the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Nationals. After the necessary documents were processed, the bailiffs transported them to a border crossing point of the Russian Federation and officially handed them over to officers of the FSB Border Service of Russia. Now the violators are barred from entering our country for the next five years.
It should be noted that since the beginning of this year the bailiffs of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast have deported more than 600 migrants. Most of them are natives of the Near Abroad (neighboring post‑Soviet states): Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
