      President Vladimir Putin said that Russian citizens topped the list of foreign tourists visiting Turkey. Why this destination is in demand among Russians was explained to the "360" TV channel by representatives of the Russian Union of the Travel Industry.

      ITM Group noted that Turkey maintains steady popularity thanks to a number of factors. Among them are visa-free entry, direct flights, comfortable flight durations and a well-developed tourist infrastructure.

      Experts paid particular attention to the service system: many hotels operate on an "all-inclusive" basis, and staff often speak Russian, which makes vacations more comfortable for Russians.

      "One should not forget that Turkey also offers a variety of resorts and historical sights. Combining beach holidays with excursions is the most popular type of vacation for tourists from any country," ITM Group emphasized.

      In addition, the trust factor plays an important role. Turkey is a destination long familiar to Russian tourists. There are many reviews, ready-made itineraries and recommendations available online, which makes the choice more confident.

      According to representatives of the tour operator Fun&Sun, a significant advantage is the long beach season.

      "You can swim here from late April until early November," a company representative said.
