It is now possible to visit the manor park at the Boldino Museum-Reserve using the "Pushkin Card".

      At the A. S. Pushkin Museum-Reserve "Boldino" it is now possible to visit the estate park using the "Pushkin Card." Tickets can be purchased online, at the museum ticket office, or at the entrance to the estate. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The Boldino park of the Pushkin estate is one of the few provincial manor parks well preserved since the 19th century and notable for its picturesque landscapes. And although its layout largely took shape after Pushkin's time, there are corners that can transport you back to the period when the poet visited here.

      "Autumn in the Boldino estate park is more beautiful than ever. Holders of the 'Pushkin Card' have a wonderful opportunity to visit a unique natural site, take unforgettable walks and enjoy the truly poetic atmosphere that inspired Pushkin," says Nina Zhirkova, director of the A. S. Pushkin Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve "Boldino."

      The compositional center of the park is a cascade of ponds artificially created in place of a deep ravine. From the dam of the Upper Pond opens one of the most beautiful views: the curve of the shoreline, willows reflected in the water, and the white railings of the "humpback" bridge. Along the shore have survived trees contemporary with the poet, including a two-hundred-year-old willow and a long-lived oak.

      From the dam of the Lower Pond there is a view of the tree-covered banks and the "arbor of tales" on the shore, which is associated by legend with Pushkin's writing of his tales. From the arbor begins an acacia alley that turns into a winding birch alley. Apple trees grow on the slopes of the hills. In a distant corner of the park, at the foot of a hill, there is a turf bench where, according to recollections, Pushkin liked to work. An especially impressive view of the surroundings opens from the high hill at whose foot the bench is placed. Buravushkina Hill is one of the oldest places in Boldino, closely connected with the history of Pushkin's estate and the Russian village. According to tradition, Pushkin often visited this place and long admired the surrounding expanses. Even today these landscapes have retained their pristine beauty.

      The protected park of the Boldino estate is open to visitors from 9:00 to 20:00 according to the museum’s hours. Monday is a day off.

      From this year the "Pushkin Card" program continues to operate within the framework of the national project "Family." Any citizen of Russia aged 14 to 22 can obtain the card. A virtual card can be issued in the "Gosuslugi.Kultura" app. The card limit is 5,000 rubles, which is renewed each year on January 1. The funds can be spent on visiting museums, theaters, exhibitions, concerts, and cinemas across the country. The list of events is available on the Kultura.RF website, which is updated daily.

      The national project "Family" is aimed at strengthening traditional values, supporting the family institution and developing a comfortable environment across the country. It includes programs to increase access to quality leisure, preserve cultural heritage and develop creative initiatives.
