Vetluga will receive a new hotel with the support of the Development Corporation.
A new hotel is planned to be built in Vetluga with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation. The organization's general director Igor Ishchenko, head of the Vetluga District Sergei Lavrenov, and entrepreneur Olga Yumakova signed a cooperation agreement on implementing the project. This was reported by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
Igor Ishchenko noted that the idea of creating a hotel arose during a round table on tourism development held in May. The north of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has significant tourism potential, and the Corporation, together with entrepreneurs, is actively promoting the development of this sector. The investor will be given comprehensive support, and the district will gain a comfortable place to accommodate guests.
Investments in the project will amount to 45 million rubles. The hotel will be located in a historic building in the city center, and a restaurant designed in the style of 19th-century Russian cuisine will be opened nearby. Implementation is planned for 2026–2028.
The Corporation advised the investor on matters of state support, on taking into account restrictions related to protection zones of cultural heritage sites, and organized interaction with the authorities. Olga Yumakova stressed that the assistance of the Corporation's specialists enables arising tasks to be solved effectively and contributes to the successful implementation of the project.
Since 2022, territorial managers of the Development Corporation have been operating in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, helping investors in municipal districts. In the Vetluga District this is overseen by Galina Zaitseva. Contacts for the managers and additional information are available on the regional investment portal.
Support for investors and improving the efficiency of working with them are included in the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," initiated by President Vladimir Putin and launched in 2025.
