      Three residents of Nizhny Novgorod were awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of the Energy Complex" for their contribution to the development of the industry. The decision was made at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on 28 August.

      According to the press service of the Legislative Assembly, this regional award was established for significant merits in the field of energy, including ensuring the quality and reliability of power supply, implementing energy-saving measures and improving energy efficiency.

      Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Evgeny Lyulin noted that for the first time in the region's history representatives of the energy sector have received such recognition.

      "It is difficult to overestimate the contribution of energy specialists who stand their watch around the clock, in any weather, and provide Nizhny Novgorod residents' homes with heat and light. This marks the beginning of a new good tradition — to honor the best workers in the industry. Their selfless work is an example for young specialists and proof that the title 'man of labor' remains a symbol of pride and professional recognition," Lyulin emphasized.

      The titles were bestowed on Vladimir Kulagin, Deputy Technical Director for Operations of Avtozavodskaya CHP LLC; Alexander Pigolitsyn, Technical Director – Chief Engineer of the Sormovskaya CHP of the "Nizhny Novgorod" branch of T Plus PJSC; and Elena Tolchinskaya, Deputy General Director for Sales of Volgaenergosbyt JSC.

      Each of the awardees has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector and has made a substantial contribution to ensuring the stable operation of the region's power system.
