      A major overhaul of a section of the drainage system in the area of building No. 12 on Novikova-Priboya Street and No. 20 on Gleb Uspensky Street is planned in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by JSC "Nizhegorodsky Vodokanal."

      Earlier, residents noticed the appearance of large sinkholes in the area. The deep pits are causing concern among both pedestrians and drivers.

      As explained by the utility company, the facility is classified as technically complex, so specialized machinery and professional equipment will be required to carry out the work.

      "A contract is currently being concluded with the contractor organization that will undertake the major repairs of the large-diameter sewer collector," the company noted.

      At present, the area where the collapse occurred is fenced off. Completion of the repair work is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

      Earlier it was reported that traffic on the bridge in the Navashinsky district was temporarily suspended due to a collapse in the road.
