Economy: The credit institution was held liable for failing to comply with established rules when returning overdue debt, the press service of the regional office of the FSSP reported.
The agency conducted an administrative investigation after identifying violations of the legislation governing the protection of citizens' rights in interactions with debtors. During the inspection, staff of the Department of Control, Supervision and Permitting Activities established that the bank, acting as a creditor, engaged in unfair and unreasonable actions. It violated the requirements of Federal Law No. 230-FZ, which sets out the procedure for interacting with debtors and third parties in debt collection.
In particular, a representative of the financial organization contacted people who were not related to the obligations without their consent and without the debtor's consent. The call was made to a phone number not listed on the loan application.
At the same time, the employee did not give his last name and misled the interlocutor by presenting himself as a court bailiff-executor.
An aggravating factor was the fact that the bank had previously been held liable for similar violations.
As a result of the investigation, the credit institution was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 14.57 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. It was fined 300,000 rubles.
