      Rosobrnadzor sent warnings to two higher education institutions in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the website of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, violations were found at the Volga State University of Water Transport and the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after Lobachevsky.

      Thus, the Volga State University of Water Transport committed a violation when transferring data to the federal registry. The institution did not provide, within the prescribed timeframe, information about documents issued in 2024 to graduates of professional development programs. According to the rules, this information must be sent to the registry operator no later than 60 days from the date of issuance of the documents.

      The Nizhny Novgorod State University named after Lobachevsky came under the supervisory authority’s scrutiny for failing to grant a student academic leave for family reasons.

      Both universities received official warnings and must take measures to prevent similar situations in the future.

      Earlier it was reported that almost 9,000 people were admitted to Nizhny Novgorod universities on state-funded places as part of the main stage of the 2025 admissions campaign.
