Total milk yield in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has increased by 4% since the beginning of the year.

      The dairy industry in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast continues to develop. Thus, in the first seven months of 2025 the region produced more than 402,000 tonnes of milk. This is 4% more compared with the same period last year, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources Nikolai Denisov at a meeting of the Dairy Union held in the Bogorodsky District.

      More than a hundred participants gathered at the event: farmers, owners of household plots, representatives of cooperatives and individual entrepreneurs. They discussed how the dairy sector is developing, what difficulties producers face and what prospects exist.

      According to the minister, the growth in volumes is the result of comprehensive work: improved conditions for animals, quality feed, genetics, and specialist training. All this is supported both at the regional level and by federal programs.

      "In the current conditions of agro-industrial complex development, the issue of effectively bringing farm products to market is acquiring special importance. Cooperation is one of the most promising tools for supporting farms, opening up broad opportunities for their development," Nikolai Denisov noted.

      Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod farmers had harvested over one million tonnes of cereals and pulses.
