The fire safety and civil protection management team of the Vyksa plant of the United Metallurgical Company (OMK) took second place in the inter-garrison firefighting drill competitions.
The competitions were held in Vyksa and brought together the best duty crews of the 8th Fire and Rescue Detachment. Units from Vyksa, Navashino, Kulebaki and Voznesenskoye took part.
According to the results, first place was won by the team of the 56th Fire and Rescue Unit of Vyksa. Second place went to the team from the Vyksa plant of OMK. Third place went to representatives of the 40th Fire and Rescue Unit from Navashino.
The competition program included three stages: setting a three-section ladder against a third-floor window, operational deployment, and climbing an assault ladder to a fourth-floor window of the training tower.
Particularly notable was the performance of the plant unit commander Sergey Antonov, who posted the best result in the assault ladder climb.
Participants demonstrated not only speed but also accuracy in task execution, including elements of rescuing simulated casualties and drawing water from an open source.
The head of the fire safety and civil protection management, Mikhail Antonov, noted the importance of such events for professional development:
"We are proud of our team and its achievements. This is the result of intense work and the high level of training of our specialists. Such competitions not only test skills but also strengthen team spirit, which plays a key role in our service."
