The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has filed a claim in the arbitration court seeking to recover 37.4 million rubles from Prano Group LLC — the company that manages the Volga microelectronics technopark located in the town of Bor. Information about the filing of the claim was posted in the materials of the arbitration case registry.

The reasons for going to court are not specified in the documents. The hearing is scheduled for September. The claim was submitted to the Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on July 8. The hearing is set for September 9.

Recall that the Volga industrial technopark project was announced in 2022. At the time it was reported that the technopark would be located on the site of the former Borsky Glass Factory. In July of the same year the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Prano Group LLC signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the project. The total amount of investments from regional and federal budgets was expected to be about 900 million rubles over three years.

In July 2023 the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) confirmed that the Volga technopark and its managing company met all necessary requirements. The project was included in the official register of the country’s industrial technoparks.

In the summer of 2024 plans emerged to launch a Russian–Belarusian electronics production based at the technopark. A corresponding memorandum of intent was signed by Belarusian JSC Integral, NPO "Promyshlennyy Kapital" and the Volga technopark.

However, already in December 2024 the head of Prano Group LLC found himself at the center of a criminal investigation. According to the investigation, the company submitted forged contracts to the ministry for the purchase of equipment for compressed air production. The funds for these purposes — more than 209 million rubles — were received as a subsidy under the agreement with Minprom signed in 2023.

Investigative authorities opened a criminal case under the article on fraud committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale (part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code). The company's head was remanded in custody by court order.
