Another drug dealer was arrested in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Incidents

      Officers of the Directorate for Drug Trafficking Control detained a 30-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod suspected of distributing illegal substances. The operational activities took place in the Sovetsky District of the city. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

      During work with the detainee, a previously convicted man, police established the locations of caches where the drugs were stored. One of them was located in a woodland strip in the settlement of Beryozovaya Poyma. There officers found a zip-lock bag containing ten packets of a powdery substance.

      An examination confirmed that the seized substance was mephedrone, with a total weight of about 20 grams. The detainee admitted guilt and said that he had been selling drugs in the city.

      A criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — illegal distribution of narcotic drugs on a large scale. By court decision the suspect has been placed in custody. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

      Earlier it was reported that a 35-year-old Nizhny Novgorod resident had been detained with a bag of drugs.
