      Intense precipitation is expected in the Nizhny Novgorod region and Nizhny Novgorod within the next few hours and will continue until the first half of the night on 18 August 2025, the regional EMERCOM reported.

      According to forecasts, downpours will begin within 1–3 hours of the warning’s publication and may lead to a deterioration of road conditions.

      Motorists are advised to be especially cautious: rain will reduce visibility, wash out road shoulders and unpaved roads, and make road surfaces slippery. This increases the risk of skidding and loss of vehicle control.

      Specialists recommend reducing speed and avoiding travel through low-lying areas where water may accumulate.
