A quadcopter helped reveal a dump in a forest in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      About 5 cubic meters of garbage were removed from the territory of the Pizhemsky District forestry. The cleanup took place as part of the "Clean Forest" campaign. This was reported by the Nizhny Novgorod Region's Ministry of Forestry.

      The unauthorized dump was discovered during a patrol using a quadcopter.

      The agency noted that such dumps cause serious damage to the environment and pose a danger due to the risk of fires. This is especially relevant now, as a high fire-hazard class has been declared in the region.

      Administrative liability is provided for violations of sanitary rules in forests. In accordance with Article 8.31 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, individuals may face fines of up to 5,000 rubles, officials up to 40,000 rubles, and legal entities up to 500,000 rubles.

      Earlier it was reported that drones began to be introduced into the agricultural sector of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
