The repair of the road to the village of Matyushevo in the Sosnovsky District under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" has been completed.

      The repair of the access road to the village of Matyushevo, over four kilometers long, has been completed in the Sosnovsky municipal district. The work was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life." This was reported by the Main Directorate of Motor Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      "In recent years we decided to repair rural roads in full, rather than in sections. Thus, in the village of Matyushevo all 4.09 km have been brought up to regulatory condition. This road connects to the Pavlovo—Sosnovskoye—Lesunovo—Mukhtolovo—Sakony highway, and as a result travel time for residents to the interregional road Ryazhsk—Kasimov—Murom—Nizhny Novgorod will now be no more than 15 minutes. I should remind you that in 2025, under the national project, repairs will be carried out on 35 roads leading specifically to villages and hamlets, totaling 153 km, which is 1.5 times more than last year’s figures," said Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Public Institution of the Nizhny Region "Main Directorate of Motor Roads" (GKU NO "GUAD").

      On the road to Matyushevo the contractor stabilized the soils, laid the top asphalt concrete layer along the entire length of the road, and also strengthened the shoulders with crushed stone. The contract price for the work amounted to 39.6 million rubles.

      "The work was carried out on the basis of a defect report developed by employees of the Main Directorate of Motor Roads, and within the timeframe established by the government contract. Among the main indicators are compliance of the asphalt with standards, the thickness of the laid layer, and the width of the shoulders. The entire process is continuously monitored by district supervisors from the Main Directorate of Motor Roads," reported Ilya Podmarev, general director of the contracting company.

      It should be recalled that since the inception of the national project, 124 km of roads have been repaired in the Sosnovsky district. That is almost 70% of the district’s entire network of regional roads.

      Road repairs in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are being carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," which was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the aim of providing citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project consists of 11 federal projects, which are in part a continuation of the previously implemented national projects "Safe and High-Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and federal programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport.
