Medical organizations of the Nizhny Novgorod region will receive 162.2 million rubles in 2025 from the standardized insurance reserve of the Territorial Fund of Mandatory Medical Insurance (TFOMS). These funds will be used to purchase and repair high-tech equipment, as well as to improve staff qualifications, said Alexey Nikonov, chief editor of MIA "Stacionar-press."

With this support, hospitals and polyclinics will be able to acquire X-ray machines, mammography units, fluorography units, mechanical ventilators and ultrasound machines, ophthalmic and dental equipment, endoscopic equipment and electrocardiographs.

In addition, part of the funding is allocated for training medical personnel. This will allow specialists to master modern methods and technologies, improving the quality of care provided.

In 2024, 132.8 million rubles were already allocated from the reserve of the Mandatory Medical Insurance (OMS) fund for similar purposes. With these funds, medical institutions purchased and repaired 13 units of equipment and organized training for 177 healthcare workers.

Earlier it was reported that a new building for Polyclinic No. 38 will be built in Nizhny Novgorod for 1 billion rubles.
