More than 300 new access points have been added to the public Wi‑Fi map in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
The public Wi‑Fi access map in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has been updated with 334 new hotspots.
Thus, six MFCs (multifunctional centers) in Nizhny Novgorod and three in Dzerzhinsk are now connected to Wi‑Fi. By the end of the month internet access will appear in the MFCs of Kstovo and Vyksa, as well as in two more multifunctional centers in Nizhny Novgorod.
Earlier, about 30 new Wi‑Fi hotspots appeared in public places and at bus stops in Dzerzhinsk.
Nearly 300 access points in small settlements of the Nizhny Novgorod Region have also been added to the map; they operate under the "Eliminating Digital Inequality 1.0" program.
At the moment, the map with free Wi‑Fi locations is available in the web version on the "Resident's Map of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" portal (https://nn-card.ru/hotspots); the portal can also be accessed via a hyperlink placed on the Nizhny Novgorod Region government website (https://nobl.ru/) in a separate menu section — "Wi‑Fi Map".
In the mobile application "Resident's Map of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" the map can be accessed offline.
To always have the map at hand, you need to:
— download the "Resident's Map of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" app (for Android smartphones, for iPhone, app store RuStore);
— select the "Wi‑Fi Map" option;
— download to the device the map of the required settlement (a map of the entire region is available, as well as separate maps of Nizhny Novgorod, Arzamas and Dzerzhinsk).
Registration in the app is not required to use the map.
You can report an incorrect hotspot address or a lack of internet at a point by the following methods:
— by calling the hotline from 9:00 to 21:00 at the number of the unified regional information and reference service 122, then press 5;
— by submitting an appeal on the "Resident's Map of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" portal.
The map on regional resources is updated as new public Wi‑Fi points appear.
Business representatives can also report their readiness to provide free internet in their establishments by filling out a special form on the "Resident's Map of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" portal.
