      Doctors at City Clinical Hospital No. 40 got a 103-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod back on her feet. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the editor-in-chief of the medical publication "Stacionar Press," Alexey Nikonov.

      According to him, the patient was hospitalized in the trauma department with a closed femoral fracture with pronounced displacement of bone fragments.

      The surgeons decided to perform a locked intramedullary osteosynthesis with the insertion of a metal rod.

      Only a few days after the procedure, the elderly woman began to move independently using a walker. After her condition stabilized, the patient was discharged home. As a token of gratitude, the woman thanked the medical staff in an unusual way — she presented them with her own poems.
