      In Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod Region, the investigation of a criminal case against a local resident accused of the brutal murder of his acquaintance has been completed. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to the investigation, the tragedy occurred in September 2024 in one of the apartments on Melioratorov Street. During the joint consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between the accused and the woman, during which the man attacked the victim and inflicted her with more than 60 wounds using a knife, forks and other items that were in the apartment. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.

      After committing the crime the man attempted to flee and left the region. However, thanks to the prompt actions of police officers and investigators, his whereabouts were established. A criminal case has been initiated under the article on murder committed with particular cruelty.

      Earlier on pravda-nn.ru it was reported that Bastrykin would oversee the investigation into the murder of a fitness trainer in Dzerzhinsk.
