      Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin named the Nizhny Novgorod region among the regions with successful examples of implementing comprehensive development projects. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod government.

      Regarding the results of the construction industry's work and plans for the "Infrastructure for Life" national project, Marat Khusnullin reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting before Builder's Day.

      Along with the Nizhny Novgorod region, Khusnullin highlighted Kemerovo, Arkhangelsk, and Perm Krai as leading regions.

      Khusnullin called the mechanism of comprehensive development of territories an increasingly in-demand tool for urban environment renewal through investor involvement.

      It is worth reminding that Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, during his annual report to the regional Legislative Assembly on July 31, 2025, announced that about 50 KRT (comprehensive development area) sites are at various stages of planning and implementation in the region, with 35 already approved by the urban planning policy headquarters.

      "Only on the approved sites, the relocation of more than 100,000 sq. m of dilapidated and emergency housing is planned ahead of schedule, along with the construction of 27 kindergartens and six schools by investors. This has never happened before," noted Gleb Nikitin.

      In 2023–2024, the budget revenues of the Nizhny Novgorod region from the implementation of comprehensive development projects through auctions amounted to about 1 billion rubles. In the first half of 2025, nearly 500 million rubles were received by the Nizhny Novgorod budget from KRT project implementations.
