Investors highly appreciated the investment climate in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation conducted a survey among investors to assess compliance with the regional investment declaration. Respondents were asked to evaluate improvements in the investment climate, the process of obtaining support measures and connecting to infrastructure, interactions with the Development Corporation in a "single window" format, and other aspects. As a result of the survey, the satisfaction coefficient was 5 out of 5 possible points.

      The regional investment declaration is a document that declares the commitments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region to investors. It includes a general description of investment development goals, the composition of the investment team. The declaration also details the support measures available to investors. The document and infographic developed based on it are posted on the regional investment portal.

      Additionally, entrepreneurs evaluated the quality of the Nizhny Novgorod Investment Portal: www.nn-invest.ru. According to the first half of 2025 survey results, the satisfaction coefficient with the portal's operation was 1.93 out of 2. Investors assessed the portal's usability, informational content, and the possibility of electronic interaction between businesses and the development agency.

      "The information received from investors allows us to identify areas for improvement, even considering the high ratings at the end of the first half of the year. The investment team of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is making every effort to enable businesses to comfortably and quickly implement their projects in the region, including through our digital services," said Igor Ischenko, General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

      It is worth recalling that in 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod Region reaffirmed its status as one of the leading regions in the National Investment Climate Rating by ASI, again occupying second place.

      The region’s investment portal is presented in three languages—Russian, English, and Chinese. This allows entrepreneurs worldwide to access detailed information about the Nizhny Novgorod Region and municipalities, including accessible infrastructure, existing support measures, submitting applications for land plots, investment project support, as well as learning about current investment proposals and elements of the regional investment standard.

      To enable investors to independently select tax, property, and consulting support measures suitable for their projects, and to learn about available subsidies, preferential loans, and credits, the portal features a support measures calculator. There is also an investment map currently available with about 460 territories for investment. An instructional video is posted in the same section to help users adapt to the map's functionality.

      Furthermore, the investment portal includes a survey module. Entrepreneurs can use it to evaluate the performance of business institutions, the state of infrastructure, and how support is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation was established at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. The organization supports project implementation at all stages—from providing regional information, possible support measures, site inspections, to commissioning, undertaking commitments in cooperation with executive authorities, local governments, natural monopoly entities, and other organizations.
