Society Head of Gorodetsky District, Alexander Mudrov, has spoken out against the spread of electronic cigarettes. This time, he urged residents to report cases of vaping sales to minors to the authorities.
According to the official, surveys show that most Nizhny Novgorod residents support a complete ban on electronic cigarettes in the country. The residents of Gorbats, as the district head claims, frequently turn to him with requests to investigate vape sales.
"Since June 1, 2023, a ban has been in place on selling this stuff to minors. However, we often see teenagers smoking on the streets. Vendors feel confident and secure, including in our district," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Mudrov called on the townspeople to join the municipal oversight efforts. He asked them to report retail points where vapes are sold to minors. According to the official, upon receiving such information, inspections will be organized, and fines issued.
The district head also reminded that penalties for violating the ban are substantial and advised "vendors of this harmful substance that scars our children" to consider the consequences.
Earlier, Mudrov advocated for a complete ban on the sale of alcohol in Gorbatsky District.
