A series of rains will come to the Nizhny Novgorod region starting next week.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the weather pattern will begin to change considerably during the upcoming week from August 4 to August 10. According to the Russian Hydrometeorological Center and Yandex Weather service, after a relatively stable and hot start to August, a series of rainy days is expected — residents should prepare umbrellas and waterproof footwear. On Monday, August 4, the region will still experience warm weather: daytime temperatures will reach +30°C, with an overnight low of about +19°C, no precipitation, and moderate winds up to 5 m/s. However, rains are possible.

      On Tuesday, August 5, thunderstorms are forecasted. By Wednesday, August 6, the rains will stop, and temperatures will drop to +26°C. From that point on, precipitation will occur almost daily — mostly short but sometimes intense showers accompanied by gusty winds.

      In the latter half of the week, from Thursday, August 7, to Sunday, August 10, daytime temperatures will slightly decrease to +22…+24°C, with nights around +15°C. Rains will persist, and thunderstorms are possible. Humid and cool weather will last until the end of the week, with south and southwest winds strengthening to 7-10 m/s. Overall, it's advisable to carry an umbrella, be more cautious on wet roads, and consider comfort when choosing clothing.
