      In the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, a road traffic accident involving a passenger car and a pedestrian occurred.

      According to the regional traffic police, the accident took place near house No. 4 on Efremova Street.

      A man born in 1985 was driving a Hyundai Sonata. He hit a 65-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at an uncontrolled intersection.

      The victim sustained injuries and was taken to City Hospital No. 39.

      Traffic police officers are continuing to investigate all circumstances of the incident.

      It was previously reported that a criminal case was initiated in the Kstovo district regarding a fatal traffic accident involving a motorcyclist and a passenger car.
