      In the first half of 2025, thanks to calls from concerned citizens to the emergency number 112, 252 intoxicated drivers were caught in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Of these, 38 reoffended and got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Transport.

      Nizhny Novgorod residents' reports that a car is being driven by an intoxicated person were confirmed in about half of the cases.
