      Society: Strong rains will once again cover the Nizhny Novgorod region and Nizhny Novgorod on July 24. This is reported by the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Upper Volga UGMHS," precipitation is expected both during the day and in the evening.

      The CUC warns that heavy rains increase the likelihood of emergencies.

      Local flooding is possible due to clogged storm drains and failures in drainage systems. Flooding of low-lying areas, roads, bridges, power line supports, communication facilities, and agricultural lands cannot be ruled out.

      Worsening weather conditions may lead to an increase in road traffic accidents, transport disruptions, failures in housing and utilities systems, as well as landslides and mudslides.

      Recall that the last heavy rain in Nizhny Novgorod on July 22 caused flooding on some streets.
