In the village of Podlesovo, located near the city of Kstovo, courtyards will be renovated and parking spaces will be organized. This decision was made by the Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, after his first personal meeting with residents in Kstovo. The city administration’s press service reported this.
Women residents Olga Kuznetsova and Maria Goreva came to the city head’s reception. They stated that their yards were not included in the improvement program last year, even though repairs were already underway nearby.
Currently, about 1.5 thousand people live in Podlesovo. The improvement of this settlement’s territory will continue, including not only road repairs but also the creation of parking areas, which residents strongly insist on. The work is scheduled to begin in August.
The head of the local self-government of the Kstovo district, Ivan Ulanov, clarified that last year, seven courtyards had already been renovated in the village, and this year, plans are to improve eight more.
Recall that about a month ago, the Kstovo district was excluded from the list of municipal formations of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The decision was made due to administrative reform, during which the district was merged with Nizhny Novgorod. By the end of 2025, a unified municipal government and budget need to be formed in the combined urban district.
