      The speedboat on hydrofoils "Meteor 120R" departed on its first voyage from Nizhny Novgorod to Perm on the morning of July 16, according to the Nizhny Novgorod government.

      According to Vodoleт company, this is the first scheduled route in the modern history of the Nizhny Novgorod fleet that includes overnight stops in Kazan and Chaykovsky.

      Additionally, the vessel makes stops in Vasilsursk, Kozmodemyansk, Cheboksary, Mariinsky Posad, and Krasnyi Klyuch (Nizhnekamsk). The total length of the route exceeds 1,300 kilometers.

      Nikita Italiancev, CEO of Vodoleт, noted that previously, hydrofoil vessels had never operated between Nizhny Novgorod and Perm. He stated that the route is already attracting passenger interest, especially in Perm Krai, where tickets for segments to Kazan are actively being purchased.

      A total of five such voyages are planned for the 2025 navigation season.

      Eugene Chintsov, Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, pointed out that mid-July has become a milestone for river tourism in the region. On July 11, the new four-deck motor ship "Nikolay Zharkov" was launched, and today "Meteor" embarked on its first trip to Perm.

      He emphasized that the "River Routes" project, implemented by Presidential Decree under Vladimir Putin, helps expand the geography of river transportation, with Nizhny Novgorod leading in this area.

      It was previously reported that the new look of the ticket offices at the River Station was approved in Nizhny Novgorod.
