Billboards inviting people to the World Youth Festival Gathering appeared in various cities around the world.

      Active youth from around the world are invited to the World Youth Festival Gathering 2025, which will take place in Nizhny Novgorod from September 17 to 21. Billboards with messages in Russian appeared on the main streets of New York (USA), Tokyo (Japan), and Lagos (Nigeria). Advertising videos launched on media screens across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa are already gathering thousands of views on social media. The videos feature a symbolic gesture: young people of various nationalities touch landscapes of Russian cities (Moscow, Sirius, Saint Petersburg, and Nizhny Novgorod), and the surroundings come to life – colors bloom, birds and the sun appear.

      "This year, the Gathering is built around the concept 'Russia warms' – the idea of warmth and unity. Through a simple touch, we convey the main message: Russia is open for dialogue and ready to share energy of creation. We invite proactive young people from all over the world to join us in exploring new opportunities, ideas, and the future we are shaping together," said the Directorate of the World Youth Festival.

      The gathering will bring together 2,000 young people: one thousand from Russia and one thousand from abroad, including 200 youths aged 14 to 17. It will be held in an interactive modular format. The participants can look forward to immersive shows, debates on current youth topics, workshops, case studies, and masterclasses from leading experts. The event grounds will also host label castings and project pitches. Young people will have the chance to test themselves in extreme sports, create the world's largest painting, and much more.

      Young individuals up to 35 years old from media, creative industries, sports, education, science, government, entrepreneurship, and IT are invited to participate. Proficiency in English is a key criterion for selection. Applications can be submitted until July 20 on the event website.

      The World Youth Festival was held from March 1 to 7, 2024, at Sirius in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, aiming to develop international youth cooperation. 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries participated in the 2024 edition.

      Following orders from the Russian President, the World Youth Festival will be held regularly in Russia – every six years; additionally, every six years, 10,000 young people from around the world will gather at the World Youth Festival Forum. Between these events, themed international youth gatherings for 2,000 participants from Russia and abroad will be organized under the auspices of the Festival. The first gathering is scheduled for September 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod. Festival events of various formats will be held annually across Russia.

      In accordance with the orders of the Russian President on preserving and developing the festival heritage, the Directorate of the World Youth Festival continues its work aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation.
