      On Beketova Street in Nizhny Novgorod, a car partially sank into the ground on July 15. Eyewitnesses reported this on social media.

      Staff from the Sovetsky District administration and specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod Water Utility are already at the scene. They are conducting an inspection of the area and determining the tactics for mitigating the incident's consequences. No one was injured.

      Preliminarily, it is believed that rainwater gradually eroded the soil under the asphalt, creating a void into which the "Lada Kalina" fell.

      According to the Nizhny Novgorod administration, the damaged section of the water pipeline has been temporarily taken out of service. There is currently no water leak. Water supply to nearby houses is temporarily interrupted.

      An tow truck is expected to arrive to extract the vehicle from the collapse.

      It was previously reported that a heavy rainstorm that hit Nizhny Novgorod partially eroded the prepared soil on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

      Additionally, tram routes No. 8 and No. 12 were halted due to flooding on the tracks.
