      In Zavolzhye, Nizhny Novgorod region, a new production of automotive components has been launched. This was reported by the region's governor, Gleb Nikitin, on his Telegram channel.

      According to him, assembly of all-wheel-drive transfer cases has begun at the facility. Previously, the same site saw the start of transmission manufacturing by Sollers.

      Gleb Nikitin noted that Zavolzhye is strengthening its status as one of the key automotive industry centers in Nizhny Novgorod region. In the future, plans include expanding production capacities and organizing local casting of components.

      The total investment in the project amounts to 350 million rubles. A significant portion of this sum was provided as a subsidized loan by the Industrial Development Fund.

      Earlier, serial production of aluminum crankcases was launched at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant industrial site in Nizhny Novgorod region.
