Nizhny Novgorod residents completed work on the first two projects in the new patronized territory in DPR

      Nizhny Novgorod region, as the lead region, has handed over the first two facilities in the Mangushsky municipal district of the Donetsk People's Republic. In the urban-type settlement of Mangush, a Unified Duty Dispatch Service (UDDS) has been established, and the renovated club in the village of Azovskoye of Mangush district has been fully equipped.

      Recall that residents of Nizhny Novgorod began restoration work in Mangush in 2025. Earlier, in 2022, the Nizhny Novgorod region started assisting Khartsyzsk and Ilovaisk.

      In the spring of this year, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Gneushev paid a working visit to Mangush. He checked the progress of recovery works, including the creation of the UDDS.

      “We began helping Mangush district with the most important things – housing and communal services, roads, utility networks, and preparations for the upcoming heating season. The UDDS is a key element in the safety system. The service allows for real-time monitoring of fires, utility emergencies, and other potential threats. The creation of the first unified duty dispatch service in Mangush provides the opportunity to respond quickly to any emergencies, an important step towards improving quality of life. I am confident that the dispatch service will become a reliable assistant for residents of Donbas,” said Andrey Gneushev.

      As in Khartsyzsk and Ilovaisk, the UDDS in Mangush was created from scratch and equipped with modern devices and digital technologies for rapid response to emergencies.

      “This is an entirely new facility for us. Residents will be able to call and receive prompt assistance and consultations. We are currently registering the UDDS and recruiting staff to launch the service. Huge thanks to the lead region for opening this socially significant facility! The Nizhny Novgorod region is also helping with the reconstruction and repair of social facilities, road networks, and communications,” said Vladimir Topuzov, First Deputy Head of Mangush District Administration.

      According to the House of National Unity, Nizhny Novgorod contractors have completed the creation of the UDDS ahead of schedule.

      “In just 2.5 months, we carried out major repairs of all premises, replaced engineering networks, installed water supply, and set up sanitary equipment. Considering the importance of the facility, we decided to install an automatic diesel-generator set that instantly restores power. We also completed the work more than a month ahead of the initial schedule. We believe this is a significant benefit for the population,” said project director Sergey Demchuk.

      With the help of Nizhny Novgorod specialists, a rural club in the village of Azovskoye of Mangush district has also been put into operation. After repairs and equipping, it has once again become a cultural center – hosting concerts, exhibitions, and master classes.

      “The lead region upgraded the auditorium of the only club in the village. Now there is a beautiful stage curtain and new chairs. During the official opening of the club on Russia Day, a concert was held in the renovated venue. People with tears of gratitude thanked the Nizhny Novgorod region. The quality of cultural services for residents of the village and the entire district has noticeably improved. It has become comfortable for children’s dance and music groups to practice. The club has been actively visited by seniors. We sincerely thank the lead region, Governor Gleb Nikitin, and hope for further fruitful cooperation,” said Deputy Head of Mangush district, Natalya Toskhoparan.

      According to local residents, they will now visit the club much more often and willingly.

      “We are happy! There hadn’t been any repairs here for so many years, and we didn’t even want to come. We attended the opening – we were very pleased that it’s beautiful and comfortable now!” shared Maria Udod, a resident of Azovskoye.

      The Nizhny Novgorod region has planned to restore 31 facilities in Mangush district in 2025. The House of National Unity, which operates the project office for implementing a special infrastructure project in the DPR, coordinates the work of contractors and interacts with local authorities.
