      Work on upgrading the automobile bridge over the Volga near the Nizhny Novgorod HPP is proceeding according to the approved schedule. This information is available on the structure's page on VKontakte.

      Currently, the span structures on the upper bank side have been fully dismantled. The installation of new structures in this section is 75% complete. Simultaneously, work is underway on the left bank section connecting the bridge to Dam No. 3.

      According to project representatives, the completion of all necessary works to transfer reversible traffic to the new lane is planned for the end of autumn 2025. After this, reconstruction will continue on the second lane from the lower bank side.

      To meet the deadlines, the contractor has organized a round-the-clock work process, including evening and night shifts when traffic on the bridge is fully blocked. These restrictions have been coordinated with the road owner and the traffic police (GIBDD).

      A particular emphasis is placed on quality control: construction control specialists monitor the progress of the work, while state oversight is carried out by the Volga-Oka department of Rostekhnadzor.

      HPP representatives and contractors emphasize that all measures are being taken to ensure stable automobile communication across the bridge, considering existing restrictions. The work is conducted in constant interaction with the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, GIBDD, and Rostour registration.

      Nizhny Novgorod HPP reminds that on the regional road segment 22 OP R3 22K-0020 "Linda – Gorodets – Zavolzhye," passing over the bridge, there is a ban on the passage of freight transport and any vehicles over 15 tons. The speed limit is 30 km/h, and pedestrian passage is prohibited.
