Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastyrkin demanded a detailed report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case regarding the non-payment of salaries to 230 employees of a company in Nizhny Novgorod.
They worked on the construction of a gas pipeline but had not received their wages for more than four months. Despite numerous appeals to various government authorities, the situation remained unchanged. The issue also gained widespread public resonance after publications on social media and had already come to the attention of the head of the Investigative Committee. At the end of March, Bastyrkin instructed to report on the results of the verification of information about violations of labor rights.
It is noted that a criminal case has already been initiated by the regional department of the Investigative Committee regarding this matter. The course of the investigation is under the control of the central office of the Investigative Committee.
It was previously reported that Bastyrkin was interested in the rights violations of orphans in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
