Nizhny Novgorod region reduced spending on auctions and saved 1.3 billion rubles.

      Economy In June 2025, the government of Nizhny Novgorod Region achieved significant savings in the budget funds following procurement procedures. According to the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, 1.3 billion rubles were saved in one month.

      The State Treasury Institution "Procurement Center of Nizhny Novgorod Region" conducted 123 procurement procedures totaling 15.1 billion rubles.

      Most of the saved funds were allocated to road repair and maintenance contracts — about 1.2 billion rubles. Additionally, more than 51 million rubles were saved on the purchase of educational equipment.

      On average, each successful lot in June received 3.5 applications from participants.

      As a result of the first half of 2025, the total amount of budget savings reached 2.4 billion rubles.

      In six months of this year, the "Procurement Center" organized 617 procurement procedures with a total volume of 50 billion rubles. Competition among participants remained high — on average, 4.1 applications were submitted per lot.

      It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod Region ranked second among Russian regions in procurement efficiency.
