More than 20,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents will be able to learn about the opportunities of youth policy.

      September 2, 2026 16:33 Society On September 1, the second wave of the All-Russian program "Guides of Meanings. New Route" started. The program's goal is to inform high school students, university students, college students, and technical school students about the opportunities of youth policy in the region and the country, so that every young person can find a place for self-realization and bring their ideas to life. Meetings are held in a specially designed format for the program, adapted to the specifics of the region. They are conducted by specially trained "Guides of Meanings" - specialists in working with youth, employees of educational organizations, participants and graduates of youth projects and programs, representatives of public organizations, activists, and leaders of partner organizations. The program is being implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children." In the Nizhny Novgorod region, two waves are planned - in the spring and autumn of this year. The first wave focused on educational organizations in municipalities - 187 meetings were held in schools and 47 in technical schools and colleges. During the autumn wave, it is planned to reach at least 15,000 school students and 5,000 university, college, and technical school students in the city. "Today, on Knowledge Day, we are launching the second wave of the 'Guides of Meanings' program starting from school classes because we are confident that the future of the region begins here. I remember sitting at a desk myself, and I know how important it is to have a mentor nearby. It is in school that the character of a leader is formed, interests and life vectors are laid down. Our task is not just to talk about opportunities but to help everyone understand their path right now, feel support, and boldly declare their ideas. We must be there for the kids from the school bench so that they know: there is always a place for their initiatives in the Nizhny Novgorod region," noted the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Svetlana Anufrieva. In honor of Knowledge Day, the "guides" went to educational institutions where they once studied themselves to tell students about the program's opportunities.
