This was reported by TASS, citing the Ministry of Health of the Omsk region. The fire at the under-construction building in Omsk occurred on the morning of August 15 at the intersection of Krupskaya and Architects streets. The blaze started on the first floor and then spread to the upper levels of the building. According to preliminary reports, the cause of the fire was welding work: sparks ignited the insulation, which quickly caught fire. As a result of the incident, 11 people were injured. One of them later died in the hospital. According to the regional Ministry of Health, as of the morning of August 18, seven victims remain in the hospital. Omsk doctors conducted telemedicine consultations with specialists from PIMU, after which it was decided to transfer two patients with burns covering 50% and 70% of their body surface to Nizhny Novgorod. According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, the victims are currently being prepared for evacuation. They will be transported by a special flight organized by the construction company. Earlier, it was reported that four children were delivered to PIMU after a fire in Kyzyl. One of them has already regained consciousness. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX. Subscribe to stay updated on major events, exclusive materials, and timely information.
