      As part of the V Congress of Small Towns of the Grodno Region and Nizhny Novgorod Region, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of "United Russia" and the Grodno regional branch of the Belarusian party "White Russia." The document is a logical continuation of the long-standing friendship and joint work of the two regions. The agreement provides for the development of inter-party interaction, the exchange of experiences and practices, as well as the implementation of joint projects. The parties intend to strengthen cooperation at the regional level and expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest. In total, following the V Congress of Small Towns, eight agreements were signed between municipalities, educational institutions, and public organizations of the two countries. The documents provide for the exchange of experience in the field of human resources potential of local self-government bodies, the development of youth volunteering, cooperation in tourism, and the agro-industrial complex.

      "The Fifth Congress of Small Towns demonstrated how important direct cooperation and the exchange of best practices are today. The eight signed agreements cover key areas for the territories: training personnel for municipal management and the agro-industrial complex, interaction of agricultural colleges, youth cooperation, development of territories, and preservation of historical memory. It is also important to establish the 'Agricultural Employer Brand' award for companies with the best social package practices for employees living in small towns and villages. For the Nizhny Novgorod region, this is an opportunity to adopt effective solutions and develop its own practices. It is also important that we are talking about specific agreements: from the exchange of experience between KUPNO and the Grodno region to joint projects for students and youth. This approach allows us to combine resources and competencies and respond together to the common challenges of small towns," noted Russian Federation Senator Olga Shchetinina.

      The significance of the agreements reached was highlighted by the head of the Nizhny Novgorod regional executive committee of "United Russia," Dmitry Filipenko:

      "The signing of the agreement is a crucial step for the development and strengthening of Russian-Belarusian relations. It is an opportunity to share our practices and learn from colleagues in building a political system in the region. 'White Russia' is the most representative party in the country; it is at the forefront of political activity and participates in making important state decisions, so I am confident that such cooperation will enhance the effectiveness of our branches. Belarus and Russia have always been friends and have moved along a common historical path, so it is important to maintain these warm relations not only at the federal level but also at the regional level. We hope that the agreement will serve as a solid foundation for long-term interaction between our branches," emphasized Dmitry Filipenko.

      Let us remind you that the V Congress of Small Towns of the Grodno Region and Nizhny Novgorod Region took place at several venues: the main work was conducted in the village of Diveevo, and the final event was an agro-industrial fair in Arzamas. The event marked an important stage in strengthening interregional ties within the Union State, gathering over 200 participants, including more than 100 delegates from the Republic of Belarus.
