Nizhny Novgorod teenager caught for the second time for "catching" in the subway.

      On August 14, 2026, 16:28 Incidents In Nizhny Novgorod, police identified the teenager who clung to a subway train at the "Kanavinskaya" station. According to the Nizhny Novgorod Metro, on August 10, two boys decided to ride on the outside of the train. One managed to cling to elements at the back of the train, while the other tried to hold on to the handrails of the doors and mirrors. The driver noticed the violators and suddenly braked. The teenagers jumped off and quickly left the station. As reported by the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detained violator is 14 years old. This teenager has been caught for train surfing before: in the spring, he came to the attention of the police after a similar incident at the same subway station. A protocol has been drawn up against the legal representative of the minor under part 1 of article 5.35 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for failing to fulfill duties for the maintenance and upbringing of the minor. The police also reminded parents of the need to regularly talk to their children about personal and property safety rules. The agency noted that train surfing on electric transport can lead to serious consequences, including burns from heated brake resistors, electric shock when coming into contact with energized equipment, falling onto the tracks and under the wheels, as well as collisions with infrastructure elements and vehicles.
