On August 8, 2026, at 12:00, the poster reads: On Saturday, August 15, Nizhny Novgorod will celebrate its 805th anniversary under the slogan "The City that Unites." As reported by the city's head, Yuri Shalabaev, festive events will take place in the parks "Switzerland," "Svetloyarsky," "Dubki," named after May 1, and Avtozavodsky, while the main events will unfold at Minin and Pozharsky Square.

"Nizhny was born at the confluence of two great rivers, and this place of power has defined our character: to connect shores, generations, history and development, traditions and modernity," noted Yuri Shalabaev.

Most venues will operate from 12:00 to 22:00, and the celebrations will conclude at the Kremlin walls at 21:30. Guests can expect a rich program: concerts, creative workshops, sports events, patriotic and family zones. The central theme of the celebration will be the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by President Vladimir Putin, support for participants of the Special Military Operation, and the promotion of traditional values—patriotism, family, preserving the great history of the country, and the memory of the feats of ancestors.

Patriotic zones, exhibitions of modern weapons, and meetings with participants of the special military operation will be organized at the venues. Masters will conduct workshops on traditional Volga crafts, folk games, entertainments, and round dances. Nizhny Novgorod artists and guests from Mordovia and Mari El will perform songs and dances. On the main stage at Minin Square, famous children's bloggers will perform.

In the evening, popular cover bands will take the stage, performing hits from different years and modern compositions. At 21:00 in "Switzerland" park, Sergey Galanin and the rock band "SeryGa" will perform. Oleg Gazmanov's performance will begin at 20:30 at Minin Square.
