The NEIMARK.IT Academy has opened in Nizhny Novgorod.
At the Palace of Children's Creativity named after V.P. Chkalov in Nizhny Novgorod, the opening of the "NEIMARK.IT Academy" for robotics and autonomous systems took place. The career-oriented session is held in the format of a seven-day intensive organized by the "NEIMARK" University. Participants include 40 schoolchildren from 11 regions of Russia who successfully passed the competitive selection. A total of 166 applications were submitted by teenagers aged 13-17, with a competition ratio of four applicants per spot. Participation in the intensive is free of charge. As noted by Acting Rector of the "NEIMARK" University Dmitry Kolesnikov, this year's program is dedicated to robotics — one of the most in-demand fields. In addition to practical knowledge in programming and robotics, schoolchildren develop skills in self-presentation, teamwork, and project promotion. They are guided by educators and experts from industrial partners. The intensive is focused on practical work: participants engage in assembly and programming, work with modern robotic platforms, solve engineering problems, and create their own projects. The Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Puchkov, emphasized the importance of the collaboration between the "NEIMARK" University, the regional Ministry of Education, and the "Vega" center for the development of IT education. Training is conducted in two tracks: basic — "Designing and Programming Robots" and advanced — "Robotic Systems." Experts include the head of the engineering competencies faculty at the MBU DO "DDT named after V.P. Chkalov" Mikhail Yumotov, founder of the robotics school "RobotX," author of educational courses and teaching robots Stepan Burmistrov, and educator, certified judge of the Russian Robotics Olympiad Mikhail Romanenko. The "NEIMARK.IT Academy" is conducted by the "NEIMARK" University with the support of the regional center for identifying, supporting, and developing talents "Vega." Project partners include the Palace of Children's (Youth) Creativity named after V.P. Chkalov, Sberbank, IT Academy Lad, and the "Digital" Academy. Within the framework of expert sessions, schoolchildren will have the opportunity to meet potential employers.
For participants, an extracurricular program has also been prepared: excursions around Nizhny Novgorod, familiarization with the infrastructure of the emerging IT campus, sports events, quizzes, and team games. The creation of a network of modern campuses is being carried out as part of the national project "Youth and Children," initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The project aims to develop the potential of youth and create conditions for self-realization.
